Easter Weekend

I've finally gotten to posting lots of pictures from our Easter weekend 2009- wasn't it worth the wait :)?! Grandma & Papa B. came to spend the holiday weekend with us and there was plenty of Easter fun had by all: egg coloring, cookie baking, an egg hunt, mass and a fabulous brunch whipped up by Grandma & Mommy :)!

The girls enjoyed all of the sugary treats and gifts Mr. Easter Bunny had left for them and Kylie was very happy that he in turn enjoyed the carrots and orange milk she had left for him. The weather cooperated for the most part (it is April in the midwest afterall!) and we were able to take the girls out for a wagon ride later in the afternoon and enjoy some fresh spring air to wrap up the weekend's events.

We hope every"bunny" had a very Happy Easter too!

Hangin' out, havin' some popcorn

As I'm not feeling ambitious enough tonight to post the pictures from our fun Easter weekend, thought I would put this one out here of the girls having a snack yesterday afternoon. Although already different in many ways, I think these two are going to be 2 peas in a pod!
Look out Mommy & Daddy!

The last blast...

...or at least we hope so! We had blizzard conditions and about 4 inches of snow last night that made today feel more like Christmas morning than the week that the Easter Bunny makes his visit!

Of course Kylie couldn't resist asking if she could play outside once she saw ALL of the white stuff. So although not exactly up for the prep work of such a 10 minute event, Mommy agreed and here are some shots of the girls with neighbor Jack who had the same idea!

(Not sure why Peyton wouldn't save rightside up in the one shot!)

One Lucky Girl

Make that TWO lucky girls- Kylie and her friend Morgan! They attended a prescreening yesterday of the Hannah Montana movie that comes out this Friday. Daddy had won tickets for the event through BP (who has a partnership with Disney). The girls had a great time with their popcorn, drink and private movie showing! Morgan gave Kylie one of the dolls from the new movie as a thank you gift for bringing her also which just added to Kylie's morning!

We made it through about an hour of the actual movie when Kylie asked to go home. As much as she's getting more into stuff like Hannah Montana (her "favorite rockstar") I know she's still got at least some of our "little" girl left in her. As we were walking to the car, Kylie quietly said to me that she had asked to leave because she just didn't really understand what was going on - that it wasn't like a Backyardigans movie or something. So as much as sometimes Mommy thinks Kylie is already so grown up, it's times like that that bring her a smile and a sigh that it's not happening QUITE as fast as it seems :)!
